Favorite bar in town. All ages feel welcome here. Multiple sitting areas and outside area for smoking while you have your drinks.

On vacation from Iowa and we were looking for a local tavern, and this place didn't disappoint. Nice time visiting with owner, bartender and local. Had a great time!

I used to go there 30 years ago when I was in the military they had free hamburgers and hotdogs for happy hour it was great live music about every night of the week almost probably two nights out of the week they didn't have music owned by a guy named Tiny and his son and they're both huge people finding the sound like to play golf I really enjoyed that please

Back in the day The Cabin Tavern used to have free small snacks in the afternoons on weekdays. I miss those days. This is still a great place to go with friends and 'best friends'. Drinks from a Mason jar are always better than a can. There's billiards, pinball and darts if you're into that. There's even a pinchy claw game in the back if you want to try your skills. Check out the library and historic works of art on the walls! One day I hope the fireplace gets up and running again. Are you taking donations for a popcorn machine? Popcorn brings people together!!

★★★★★ Favorite Local Bar in Anchorage – Cabin Tavern I’ve been coming here for 11 years, and it’s still my favorite bar in Anchorage. The staff is always welcoming, the drinks are strong, and the prices are good. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere where you can actually enjoy yourself. There are plenty of TVs, and you can watch pretty much any game that’s on, which makes it a great spot for sports. Overall, it’s a comfortable, laid-back tavern with great service and a solid local vibe. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a dependable Anchorage bar.
